Hot Dogg Hot Digity Dogg!

After living in LA for a handful of years, I have come across many restaurant gems in the greater metropolitan area and thought I would memorialize my "list" in the form of a blog. A little nerdy but oh well.

So, the first post is about hot dogs and sausages. (The posts are in no particular order).

Wurstkuche
This place has a huge variety of sausage flavors. Some of them are pretty wild, i.e. aligator & pork, rattlesnake with rabit and jalepeno, and some more normal flavors like louisiana hot link, bratwurst, and chicken apple. They have some exotic sodas and for dessert a toasted apple pie ice cream sandwich. This place is located in downtown LA.

Pink's Hot Dogs
Some may say that this place is trendy and not that good but I disagree. Their hot dogs are homemade with natural casing that makes it snap when you bite into it. They have a ton of toppings and have a name for each. I like the Huell Howser. The line is long but there's a chance you may see a celebrity. It's located in West Hollywood on La Brea.

Fab Hot Dogs
The owner of the joint transplanted from Jersey (one of my home states) and has a good thing going. Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives (DDD) showed up there and put them on the list. They also make homemade dogs with natural casing and meaty chili. You have to try The Ripper, which is a deep fried dog with toppings of your choice. They're located in valley on Tampa Ave.

It's always good to wash these dogs down with an ice cold Coca-cola!
